In response to the need for a dedicated sports facility, the design of the Sports Facility in Paterna, centers on a natural integration with the landscape, creating a 5,326 m² space for outdoor exercise and recreation. Carefully organized exercise zones are woven into a green environment, reinforcing local biodiversity with native Mediterranean flora.

Low-lying areas host riparian species, such as Celtis australis and Fraxinus angustifolia, while upper levels feature iconic species like stone pine, holm oak, and cork oak, with colorful jacarandas enhancing the mix.

The design takes advantage of the parcel’s subtle elevation changes, resolved with gentle grassy slopes, while the north end includes a skating ramp that naturally integrates with the area’s steeper gradient. This cohesive and ecologically sensitive approach not only fosters active recreation but also respects and enhances the local ecosystem, making it a valuable addition to Paterna’s public amenities.
